ABOUT ME
Martha's Garden Seeds owner with greenhouses in the background

Hello, I’m Michelle Way, the owner, grower, and sole employee of Martha's Garden Seeds.

Although I work independently, I’m deeply grateful for the support of my parents, husband, and son, who all help me bring Martha’s Garden to life!

Located near Southey, Saskatchewan, just 30 minutes north of Regina, Martha's Garden Seeds grows pesticide-free flower and vegetable seeds without inorganic fertilizers. I am dedicated to sustainable practices, focusing on soil regeneration, reducing plastic use, and providing a safe habitat for native bees and other pollinators.

My passion is for heirloom and specialty plants, especially varieties that thrive in Northern climates. I understand the challenges of gardening in Zone 3, with its short, unpredictable growing seasons, and carefully select seeds suited to these conditions.

Martha's Garden is named in honor of my grandmother Martha, as I now grow on the same land that was once her garden. Gardening and farming run deep in my family, thanks to the influence of both my grandmothers, grandfathers, and my dad. It’s a privilege to continue this family tradition, blending sustainability with a love for Northern gardening.
