Ground Cherry Seeds
Start ground cherry seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date. Press seeds into the soil and cover lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist until germination. If seedlings become leggy, they can be "potted up" with the stem buried to encourage sturdier growth.
Once the risk of frost has passed, transplant seedlings outdoors in a sunny location, spacing plants 18-24 inches (45-60 cm) apart to allow room for growth.
Physalis pruinosa. Also known as Husk Cherry.
